Organised Information, Quietly Delivered

Stipendia was set up to fill a simple gap: many people in Thailand have pension and retirement documents they struggle to read. We help with that, calmly and clearly.

Our Story

Where Stipendia Comes From

Stipendia began in Bangkok in 2019, started by a small group of people who spent years watching friends and family struggle to make sense of pension statements and fund documents that were dense, full of unfamiliar language and rarely explained well.

The name comes from the Latin word for a regular payment — a nod to the steady, dependable nature of the work we do. Not dramatic, not urgent, just useful and consistent.

We opened our Ratchathewi office with one aim: to offer a calm, unhurried environment where people could sit down, go through their own documents and leave with a clearer picture of what those papers actually said. We have kept that focus ever since.

Our work is purely educational and administrative. We do not sell financial products. We do not provide regulated advice of any kind. What we do is explain documents plainly and help people keep their personal records well ordered — and we think that is genuinely valuable on its own.

Our Purpose

What Guides Us

Plain Language

Every session, every guide and every reply uses words a general reader can follow. We avoid jargon by habit, not by effort.

Clear Boundaries

We are firm about what we do and do not offer. Staying within information and administrative support protects our clients as much as it reflects our values.

Quiet Respect

Retirement is a personal subject. We work without pressure, without urgency and without assumptions about anyone's situation.

Good Order

A tidy filing system and a well-understood document are genuinely useful. We take that unglamorous work seriously.

The People Behind It

Our Small Team

We are a compact group with backgrounds in document administration, financial education and community support.

How We Work

Our Operating Standards

A set of straightforward commitments we keep in every session and every interaction.

Document Privacy

Any documents brought to a session remain yours. We do not retain copies, photograph them without consent or share details with anyone else.

Accurate Information

Our guides and session materials are reviewed regularly to reflect current document formats. We correct errors quickly when they are found.

No Advice Given

We do not advise on financial choices, products or planning decisions. If a question sits outside education and administration, we say so clearly.

Small Group Sizes

Group sessions are capped at six participants so everyone has time to follow along, ask questions and leave with a genuine understanding of the material.

Data Protection

Contact details and session records are stored securely and used only for scheduling and support purposes, in line with our Privacy Policy.

Feedback Welcome

We ask all participants how sessions could be improved. Responses shape how we update materials and how we structure future meetings.

Our Expertise

A Careful, Considered Approach to Retirement Document Education

Retirement documents come in many forms — fund statements, employer records, scheme booklets, nomination forms and annual updates among them. Most are written for administrators rather than the people they actually concern. Stipendia exists to bridge that gap.

Our sessions begin with the document itself. We look at structure first — what the different sections contain, how figures are typically presented, what terms like "accrued benefit" or "transfer value" actually refer to in plain language. The aim is comprehension, not analysis. We want participants to leave able to read their own papers independently.

The records side of our work follows the same philosophy. A well-labelled folder or a clearly named digital directory does not require sophistication. It requires a bit of time, a consistent system and the patience to do it once properly. Our records set-up service provides exactly that: an organised, lasting personal filing approach that clients can maintain themselves going forward.

For people who want ongoing support, the continuous plan offers a gentle structure — regular meetings, updated guides and a small group of people in similar situations. Many members tell us that simply knowing where to find their documents and what those documents say removes a quiet, background worry they had carried for some time.

All of this is conducted in English, at our Ratchathewi office in Bangkok. Sessions are calm, unhurried and free of any sales component. We are happy to answer questions about what we do before you make any decision about attending.
